Cookie Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

In short: this site sets one cookie only — to remember your choice in the cookie banner. There are no analytics, advertising, social media or profiling cookies, and no third-party trackers of any kind.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by a website. They can be used to make a site function, to remember preferences, or to track behaviour across sites. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and tracking pixels.

2. Cookies used on this site

NameTypePurposeDuration
cookie_consent_v1Strictly necessary (first-party)Records your choice in the cookie banner so it is not shown again on every visit6 months

This cookie contains only the value accepted or essential. It carries no identifier, no personal data and cannot be used to track you across other websites.

3. Cookies NOT used

4. Why no consent is legally required for this cookie

Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and Regulation 6 of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user are exempt from the consent requirement. The consent-preference cookie falls within that exemption. The banner is displayed for transparency, and rejecting non-essential cookies changes nothing on this site because none are set.

5. Managing cookies

You can review or change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings:

Deleting the consent cookie will cause the banner to be shown again on your next visit.

6. Server logs

Independently of cookies, the hosting server records standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention on the basis of legitimate interests. These logs are retained for a maximum of 12 months and are not used for profiling.
